Important travel updates for Harrow residents this weekend

Here’s some important travel information for Harrow residents to keep in mind this weekend.

There’ll be no Tube service between West Hampstead and Stanmore, including Friday and Saturday night. But don’t worry, there are other Tube options or local buses you can take instead.

If you’re coming from central London to stations between Wembley Park and Stanmore, hop on the Bakerloo line to Stonebridge Park for replacement buses.

Rail replacement buses will run between Stonebridge Park and Stanmore, and between Finchley Road and Wembley Park. This change is happening because of a system test for the Four Lines Modernisation programme.

For the Metropolitan line on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 April, there won’t be any service between Aldgate and Harrow-on-the-Hill. If you’re traveling from central London to stations between Rayners Lane and Uxbridge, catch the Piccadilly line.

For Harrow-on-the-Hill, use Chiltern Railways from Marylebone. And for Northwick Park, Preston Road, or Wembley Park, take the Bakerloo line to Stonebridge Park for replacement buses.

The Northern line won’t be running between Golders Green and Edgware on Thursday 11 April. You can take local buses to the Jubilee line (Canons Park, Queensbury, Kingsbury) or Thameslink (Mill Hill Broadway, Hendon) stations for travel to or from central London during the closure. For local journeys between Golders Green and Edgware, hop on local buses.

Train service between Golders Green and Edgware is expected to resume on Friday 12 April. Make sure to check our website or use the TfL Go app before you travel.

These changes are happening as part of works on the Northern line to support the Colindale station upgrade. For more info and help planning your journey, visit TfL’s travel advice page.
