Person dies at Canons Park station, police enquiries ongoing to establish the circumstances

A person has died at Canons Park Station after being struck by a train on Saturday, 13 April.

Images and footage sent to Harrow Online in the early hours (on Saturday) showed a large number of emergency services at the scene around 1:00 am. Police have confirmed that, sadly, a person died at the station.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 00:41am on Saturday 13 April to reports of an incident at Canons Park Underground Station.

“We sent a number of resources to the scene including an ambulance crew, a medic in a fast response car and members of our hazardous area response team. We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.

“Sadly, a person was pronounced dead at the scene. Our crews assisted another person, who was discharged at the scene.”

London Fire Brigade also attended the scene.

A spokesperson for British Transport Police said in a statement, “Officers were called to Canons Park underground station at 12.40am on Saturday 13 April to reports of a casualty on the tracks.

“Officers attended alongside paramedics, however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene. Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances leading up to their death.”
