Police close Northolt road after reports of gunfire

Police rushed to Northolt last night after reports of gun shots fired shortly before 5pm.

Police blocked off Belvue Road near Northolt Station for around 12 hours at around 5:20pm whilst officers carried out a search of the area.

A spokesperson for Met Police said in a statement, “Police were called to a residential property on Belvue Road, Ealing at about 16:50hrs on Tuesday, 16 April following reports of a firearm discharge.

“Officers attended and carried out a search of the area. Bullet casings were found at the scene.

“There were no reported injuries.

“At this early stage no arrests have been made. Enquiries are ongoing.
”
