Emergency services rush to Hatch End building fire

This afternoon, emergency services, including approximately four fire engines, cordoned off The Avenue in Hatch End, causing traffic disruptions.

A crane was in operation at the scene, to help tackle a kitchen fire in a three storey building.

The Avenue, just opposite Morrisons on Uxbridge Road, was completely closed off.

A spokesperson for London Fire Brigade said, “We were called to reports of a kitchen fire in a three storey building on The Avenue, Hatch End. The Brigade was called at 1358 and the incident was under control at 1523.

“Three fire engines and around 15 firefighters were in attendance. Fire crews from Stanmore, Northolt and Harrow fire stations were at the scene.

“Part of a seven roomed flat on the second floor of a three storey building were destroyed by fire.”
