Harrow pub undergoes near £100,000 upgrade, extends weekend hours

The George pub in Station Road, Harrow has undergone a near £100,000 investment and is set to reopen on 24th April as a Craft Union Pub.

The pub, formerly known as Yates’s, is a popular spot in Harrow Town Centre, especially for late-night gatherings and sports enthusiasts. Now under the management of Craft Union, it’s extending its weekend hours, inviting guests to stay until 2am on Fridays and Saturdays.

Renovations have spruced up the venue, including a new pool table and a designated darts area. A lineup of fresh DJs will be spinning tunes to keep guests entertained throughout the weekend

Operator Emma Wakeling has worked for various Stonegate managed sites for more than 7 years, gaining extensive knowledge, experience and upskilling through the group’s Albert’s Theory of Progression development programme.

Emma commented: “I am so excited to join The George as Operator and put everything I have learnt to the test! The pub is looking fantastic following its investment and I am looking forward to welcoming back the pub’s regulars to get to know them and showcase the newest era of the pub. We are launching an exciting events schedule and there really is something for everyone, all are welcome!”

Alongside its regular offerings of karaoke, DJ sets, and live music each weekend, The George provides a variety of activities for guests. Daytime options include board games, while Monday evenings are reserved for darts. Throughout the week, the pub hosts entertaining games such as bingo on Wednesdays, “open the box” on Saturdays, and a sports quiz on Sundays. Special promotions include “if you wear it, we play it” for free jukebox requests on Tuesdays and free pool all day every Thursday.

Also, formerly known as The Harrow (as well as Yates’s), The George is a traditional pub equipped with multiple HDTV screens, a high-quality sound system, and cozy booths with individual screens.
