Met Police issue statement on Harrow estate cordon, alleged child sexual assault

Met Police have issued a statement to explain the reason behind the cordon that has been in place at a Harrow estate since Friday evening.

Police established a cordon at Springway in Central Harrow at around 6:00pm on April 19th. The ongoing police presence has raised concerns within the community

A spokesperson for Met Police said, “Detectives are investigating an allegation of sexual assault on a child aged under 13 years on Friday, 19 April in Harrow.

The police added that, “The child is being supported by specialist officers.

“We would like to reassure the local community that we acknowledge the level of concern this matter has caused. More local officers will be patrolling in the area.”

In an update posted on X on Monday evening, 22 April, Harrow MPS said: “A man has been charged with offences linked to the sexual assault of a child in #Harrow on 19 Apr.

“Adam Baillie, 38, was remanded in custody to next appear at Harrow Crown Court on Monday, 20 May.

“We are not seeking anyone else in connection with the investigation.”
