Harrow Incident: Air ambulance lands in park, police block road

Emergency services responded to an incident in Harrow this evening around 7:00 p.m.

Several police officers and an air ambulance arrived at Harrow Recreation Ground, with the helicopter landing in the field next to the clubhouse.

Oxford Road, a nearby street, was blocked off by police who were seen speaking to residents.

A London ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 6:24pm yesterday (April 25) to reports of an incident on Oxford Road, Harrow, HA1.

“We sent resources to the scene including ambulance crews, a paramedic in a fast response car, and an incident response officer. We also dispatched a trauma team from London’s Air Ambulance.

“We treated a patient at the scene and took them to a major trauma centre as a priority.”

Met Police said in a statement, “Police were called by LAS to Oxford Road, Harrow at about 18:26hrs following concerns for the welfare of a man.

“Officers attended and found a male with injuries.

“He was taken to hospital, where he remains. His condition awaits.

“His next of kin have been informed. Enquiries are ongoing.”
