New Indian restaurant set to open in Pinner

A new Indian restaurant is set to replace the former Sakee establishment on Marsh Road, Pinner.

‘Vaghaar,’ specialising in pure vegetarian North Indian cuisine, will soon open its doors, marking its second location in the area following its first branch on Kenton Road, Harrow.

The restaurant’s name, ‘Vaghaar,’ reflects the essential Indian cooking technique of tempering, known as “Tadka” in Hindi. This final step in many dishes enhances aroma and flavour, uniting Indian cuisines across regions.

According to their website, ‘Vaghaar’ aims to offer customers a taste of authentic Indian dishes, with a menu featuring signature items like Kathiyawadi Undhiyu and Surti Undhiyu, among others.

Local Pinner resident Jillian, who has lived in the area for nearly 25 years, says she is looking forward to trying a new place to eat in Pinner. “It’s a shame the last place closed but I wish the new owners all the best, it’ll add more options locally which is always a good thing, and it’s right next to the car park!”.

Indeed, the Chapel Lane Car Park is based right behind the restaurant which should be convenient for those a little further outside Pinner itself.
