Police cordon off road in Harrow following collision, child rushed to hospital

Shaftesbury Avenue has been cordoned off by the police this evening after a child was injured in a collision.

Multiple police cars and ambulances have been spotted at the location just off Shaftesbury Circle just after 9pm.

Members of the Harrow Online Group on Facebook have posted images of the scene that show emergency services blocking the road.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called yesterday (5 May) at 8:04pm to reports of a road traffic collision on Shaftesbury Avenue, Harrow.

“We sent an ambulance crew and a paramedic in a fast-response car to the scene.

“We treated a child at the scene and took them to a major trauma centre as a priority.”
