Police cordons spotted at Harrow on the Hill station after fight breaks out

Parts of Harrow on the Hill station were cordoned off by police last night following an incident at around 9pm.

Police were called to the station following reports of a fight breaking out. A man identified by the officers fled and is believed to have injured himself during the escape.

After the incident Met Police cordoned off some of the exits to investigate.

At around 10:15pm, TfL posted via X, “Step-free access is not available between the bus station and the ticket hall due to a police investigation. Step-free access between the platforms is still available.”

A spokesperson for TfL told Harrow Online, “We can confirm that a Metropolitan Police investigation took place at Harrow on the Hill station last night and that some of the station exits were closed at the request of the police.”

A spokesperson for British Transport Police said, “Officers were called to Harrow on the Hill underground station just after 9pm on 7 May to reports of a fight. Metropolitan Police arrived on scene and a man was identified.

“While running away from officers, the man sustained an injury that is not believed to be life-changing or life-threatening and was taken to hospital.

“Enquires into the fight are ongoing.”
