Harrow Incident: Boy, 16, stabbed outside school

Whitefriars Avenue in Wealdstone has been cordoned off by police this evening after a 16-year-old boy was stabbed outside a school.

A large police presence was at the scene, and the road was closed in both directions.

Images sent to Harrow Online showed at least two police vans and two cars at the scene, along with the cordon.

Multiple members of Harrow Online Group on Facebook have stated that this was a stabbing outside a school on the same road at around 4pm.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 4:19pm today (May 15) to reports of an incident near Whitefriars Avenue in Harrow.”

“We sent resources to the scene including ambulance crews and an incident response officer.”

“We treated a patient at the scene before taking him to a major trauma centre.”

A spokesperson for Met Police said, “Police were called by the London Ambulance Service (LAS) at 16:20hrs on Wednesday, 15 May to reports of a teenager stabbed on Whitefriars Avenue in Harrow.

“Officers attended. The 16-year-old boy was taken to hospital by the LAS. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

“A crime scene is in place.

“At this early stage there have been no arrests and enquiries continue.”
