What you need to know about Harrow’s Cancer Screening Forum at the end of May

Cancer is a devastating disease which affects 392,000 people in the UK each and every year. The best defence against cancer is early detection and so, in this article, we’re sharing details of the Harrow Screening Forum taking place this month.

What is it ?

The Cancer Screening Forum is a free public event in which Harrow residents are invited to put questions to leading professionals in the health and political arenas. The panel for this event includes:

  • Lisa Henschen, Managing Director, Harrow Borough-Based Partnership, NHS North West London
  • Isha Coombes, Borough Director – Harrow, NHS North West London
  • Andrew Prentice, Health Improvement Principal, St Marks Bowel Cancer Screening Programme
  • Claire Mabena, Lead Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS), North London
  • Central and East London Breast Screening Service Dr Ali Abbas

When and where

The event will take place on Tuesday 28th of May between 14.00 and 16.00. The location of the event will be St. Peter’s Church, Colbeck Road, Harrow, HA1 4BX.

The Cancer Screening Forum is free to attend and refreshments will be available at the venue.

Although the panel will endeavor to answer as many questions as possible, they do advise that they may not be able to get to everybody in the time available.
