Some Harrow residents and businesses without water due to burst water main on Station Road

Some residents and businesses in Harrow are experiencing water supply issues this morning due to a burst water main on Station Road.

Many in the affected area have reported no water supply. Affinity Water stated, “We’re really sorry you haven’t got any water. We’re aware of a burst main on Station Road.”

The burst water main is affecting the HA2 postcode area in Harrow.

Affinity Water assures residents, “Our technician is on their way to your area to investigate and get your water flowing again soon.”

Until the issue is resolved, residents are advised to avoid using their washing machines, dishwashers, and electrical appliances that use water. Additionally, “If you still have water, we recommend you put some in your kettle or fridge for drinking in case your water needs switching off for the repair.”

A later update said, “Our repair team are on Station Road and are now digging to expose the burst pipe. We should know how long this will take us to repair once we have exposed the pipe.”

Update: With the situation almost resolved, Affinity Water posted the following update: “Your water will be back on. We’re really sorry for the problems with your water today. We’ve fixed the broken valve and you’ll see your water flowing back to normal soon.

“If your water is discoloured or cloudy, don’t worry this is normal. We know it doesn’t look nice, but it’s not harmful and you can help by running your cold tap until it’s clear.”
