Fresh Arts headquarters to be based in Wembley Park from June

Fresh Arts, an award-winning Arts Council England NPO, is moving to a permanent location in Wembley Park at The Yellow, a former community hub, starting June 3.

Fresh Arts collaborates with over 30 schools to enhance children’s access to the arts, focusing on mental health, wellbeing, enrichment, curriculum support, and arts qualifications. At their new Wembley Park base, they will offer arts education sessions, community workshops, theatre classes, afterschool clubs, and holiday camps.

Artistic Director Davinia Khan and Managing Director Pierre Khan promote inclusivity and creativity, aiming to make the arts accessible to all. They will also run community initiatives like creative coffee mornings, playgroups, and pensioners’ groups.

“I grew up in Wembley, while my grandparents arrived in Brent as part of the Windrush Generation. Joining the Wembley Park community with Fresh Arts therefore feels like an incredibly special moment. We believe that the benefits of participating in the arts should be accessible for children from all backgrounds. The Fresh Arts team is delighted to be here delivering an exciting arts education programme and increasing cultural opportunities for children in Brent” said Davinia Khan, Artistic Director, Fresh Arts.

Fresh Arts, a National Portfolio Organisation supported by Arts Council England, is set to deliver accessible arts education from its new location on Wembley Park’s Humphry Repton Lane.

Building on the success of The Yellow, Fresh Arts will offer afterschool arts clubs for primary school children and performing arts sessions for ages 3-16 through its theatre school.

Workshops and training opportunities will be available for students and young adults, and holiday camps will provide enriching experiences for local children during school breaks.

Claudio Giambrone, Head of Marketing at Wembley Park said, “Wembley Park has a well-deserved reputation for its commitment to all things cultural. Visitors and local residents alike enjoy our outstanding – and free – public art trail, while the neighbourhood’s world-class entertainment venues mean it is synonymous with performance artists of the highest calibre.

“We are delighted to welcome the Fresh Arts team to this hotbed of artistic creativity and look forward to their inspirational work with the young people of Brent and beyond.”
