Thousands of people attended Pinner Fair today, enjoying one of the biggest and best events yet as people from across the borough flocked to Bridge Street in Pinner.

Rides such as The Tagada proved popular with older kids, while younger children enjoyed a variety of smaller and easier-on-the-stomach attractions!

As you’d expect, the fair featured numerous stalls, including the well-loved Bill’s Diner, offering a range of food and treats for families to enjoy. There was a plethora of stalls selling candyfloss, fast food and other items like teddy bears and light sabers for kids.

Held every May, Pinner Fair boasts a history dating back to the Middle Ages, attracting attendees from near and far each year during the May half term.

The fair took a break during the Second World War but made a comeback in 1946 and has been a yearly tradition ever since—except for a little pause in 2020 and 2021, thanks to the pandemic.

The thing I like most about going each year is that you never know who you might see, from old school friends to current work colleagues, there’s always plenty of familiar faces around that you can catch up with.

This year the weather held out with sunny skies, making it a perfect day for families and friends to enjoy the fair in the sunshine.
