Four fire engines and 25 firefighters rush to Wealdstone house fire, two people hospitalised

Two people have been taken to hospital this morning after a fire at a residential property in Wealdstone.

Four fire engines rushed to the scene on Daintry Close, just next to Kenton Recreation Ground, shortly before 8am. Two other people also fled the building but did not require hospital treatment.

Footage sent to Harrow Online shows the fire as seen from Harrow Town Centre, and has been shared via Instagram.

A spokesperson for London Fire Brigade said, “Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a fire at a mid-terraced house on Daintry Close in Wealdstone.

“The ground floor was destroyed by the fire. Most of the first floor, a small part of the roof and a small part of a neighbouring property were damaged by the fire. Four people left the building before the Brigade arrived, two were taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service.

“One of the Brigade’s 32-metre turntable ladders was used at the scene to fight the fire from above.

“The Brigade was called at 0747 and the incident was over for firefighters at 0923. Firefighters from Stanmore, Harrow and Northolt fire stations attended the scene.

“The cause of the fire is under investigation.”
