Award-winning restaurant in Harrow Town Centre temporarily ‘closed’

A popular Indo-Chinese restaurant in Harrow Town Centre has temporarily closed unexpectedly, leaving local residents disappointed.

Hakkaland, located at 364-366 Station Road, Harrow, updated its Google business page four weeks ago to indicate that it is closed daily. The restaurant’s phone line is now disconnected.

Hakkaland, which won Best Fusion Restaurant at the Asian Food & Restaurant Awards in 2021, has not posted on its Facebook page since Christmas Day last year.

One member of Harrow Online said, “This was a favourite of mine, gutted to see it’s shut.”

Harrow Online contacted the restaurant to inquire about any potential plans for reopening.

A spokesperson for the restaurant confirmed that the restaurant is currently closed due to internal issues but is expected to reopen “within the next two weeks with the same team and owners”.

In the meantime, kitchen renovations are to start and will be completed by the end of the week.

They added, “The restaurant will soon return to High Street to serve delicious food.”
