Man rushed to hospital after being brutally assaulted in Wealdstone

A man has been rushed to hospital after a brutal assault in Wealdstone yesterday morning, June 10.

The incident happened on Herga Road within hours of another assault that occurred in Wealdstone yesterday morning.

Concerned residents said that there was ‘blood all over the street’ following the assault.

A spokesperson for Met Police said, “Police were called at approximately 06:30hrs on Monday, 10 June to reports of a fight in Herga Road, Wealdstone.

“Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and found a man, aged in his 40s, suffering injuries after being assaulted. He was taken to hospital for treatment; his condition is not life threatening.

“A 41-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of GBH with intent and remains in custody.

“A crime scene was put in place; this has since been lifted.

“Enquiries into the circumstances continue.”
