Man arrested in Harrow Town Centre for multiple offences

On Tuesday June 11, a man was arrested by officers during a foot patrol in Harrow Town Centre as part of Operation ECO.

The initiative aims to address “robberies, retail theft, and theft from persons,” according to a post on the Harrow MPS Instagram page.

During the patrol, officers noticed a man sleeping on a bench along St Anns Road. After approaching him and obtaining his details, a name check was conducted.

The check revealed that the man was wanted for “failing to appear for police bail in Hertfordshire since February 7, 2024,” and for “failing to appear for theft at Willesden Magistrates Court since May 3, 2024.” Consequently, the man was arrested and taken into custody.

Further checks revealed that the man was “an absconder who had not complied with his immigration bail conditions.”

He was subsequently arrested for immigration offences, and immigration authorities will address these matters accordingly.
