£50,000 worth of tools stolen in Wembley recovered by police

Brent Police have successfully recovered over £50,000 worth of tools stolen from a van in Wembley.

The recovery took place following a raid on a property in Hackney, resulting in the arrest of two men on suspicion of handling stolen goods.

A spokesperson for Brent Police shared the news via social media on June 6, stressing the impact of tool theft on victims.

They posted on June 6, “Yesterday, officers investigating the theft of tools from a van in Wembley raided a property in Hackney. They recovered more than £50,000 worth of tools and arrested two men on suspicion of handling stolen goods.”

They added, “We are determined to make a dent in this type of crime. Reports will be taken seriously and realistic lines of enquiry will be pursued as they were in this case.”

They also urged victims of tool theft to come forward if they recognise any of the recovered items in the provided photos.

Victims are encouraged to call 101 and provide the reference 2659/05JUN to assist the investigation team in returning the stolen tools to their rightful owners.
