Three fire engines rush to North Harrow train station

Three fire engines have been spotted at North Harrow train station following reports of smoke coming from near the tracks.

In response, Transport for London (TfL) is accepting London Underground ticket holders on the entire Metropolitan line due to the fire alert.

The TfL website states: “Metropolitan Line: No service between Harrow-on-the-Hill and Amersham / Chesham and Watford while we respond to a fire alert at North Harrow. Tickets are valid on London Buses, London Overground, and Chiltern Railway. SEVERE DELAYS on the rest of the line.”

A spokesperson for London Fire Brigade said, “Three fire engines and around 15 firefighters responded to reports of a fire at North Harrow Underground Station in Harrow.

“Firefighters extinguished a small fire on a platform.

“The Brigade was called at 1524 and the incident was over for firefighters at 1609. Crews from Northolt and Wembley fire stations attended the scene.”
