Police appeal after Jewish schoolchildren ‘assaulted’ at train station

British Transport Police are appealing for witnesses after reports of an assault on a group of Jewish schoolchildren.

A spokesperson for the police said, “Officers were called to Belsize Park tube station shortly after 4pm today (Monday 24 June) following a report that a group of Jewish schoolchildren had been assaulted.

“The incident is being investigated as a hate crime.

“Enquiries are ongoing to identify the offenders, who are believed to be a group of children from another school.

“Anyone with information is asked to text 61016 or call 0800 40 50 40 with reference 471 of 24 June.”
