Firefighters rushed to Harrow-on-the-Hill station this afternoon after reports of a fire on the tracks.
Members of Harrow Online reported seeing fire engines at the station shortly after 4pm and wondered what was happening.
As of 6pm this evening, July 4, there are still minor delays on the Metropolitan Line.
A spokesperson for London Fire Brigade told Harrow Online, “Firefighters extinguished a small track fire near Harrow-on-the-Hill Underground Station this afternoon.
“The Brigade was called at 1610 and the fire was safely extinguished by 1706. Two fire engines from Harrow and Northolt fire stations attended the scene.”
