Fly-tipping crackdown in Harrow Weald

Police from the Harrow Weald Safer Neighbourhood Team conducted patrols on Maracas Avenue in response to fly-tipping complaints.

During the patrol, officers stopped a vehicle marked for fly-tipping in Enfield. The vehicle was driven by an individual with an expired provisional licence.

The driver’s insurance was revoked due to the journey and load. The vehicle had multiple defects, leading to the driver being reported for offences and facing 30 points on their licence.

Maracas Avenue is just off Long Elmes and next to Boxtree Park in Harrow Weald.

According to a post on the Harrow MPS Instagram account, details of the incident were passed on for necessary action, ensuring a dangerous vehicle was removed from the roads.
