A man has been charged with false imprisonment after allegedly locking a 14-year-old girl in a shop in Hatch End.
Back in November last year, police were called to Uxbridge Road following a report that a young girl had been locked in a shop.
Officers attended the scene and found that a 14-year-old girl had allegedly been locked in for around 10 minutes. The girl was not harmed.
A spokesperson for Met Police said, “Vaithlingam Poovendranathan, 59, of Hurley Road, Greenford, has been charged with false imprisonment.
“He is due to appear at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on 16 July.”
