Police crack down on ASB and drug use at Churchill Place in Wealdstone

Officers from Marlborough and Headstone wards have successfully carried out a targeted operation in Churchill Place, Wealdstone, addressing issues of anti-social behaviour (ASB) and drug use.

This operation, named ‘Operation Weinert’, saw plain clothes officers patrolling the area as part of their ongoing efforts to maintain public safety and order.

During their patrol, officers observed a group loitering in an underground car park that was no longer in use and locked. On noticing the police presence, the group attempted to evade the officers by making a quick exit.

Unbeknownst to them, they had inadvertently locked themselves inside the car park.

The officers acted swiftly, entering the car park and detaining all individuals under Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act. Following identification checks, one female was found to have an outstanding recall to prison, and another female was arrested for immigration offences.

The Harrow MPS shared details of this operation on their social media channels, highlighting their commitment to tackling ASB and drug-related issues in the community.
