St George’s Shopping Centre in Harrow relaunches ‘Donation Station’

St. George’s Shopping Centre has announced the reopening of its Donation Station, supporting Firm Foundation, a local charity dedicated to aiding the homeless in Harrow.

The station will operate from July to September, inviting community members to contribute essential items for those in need.

Firm Foundation, a registered charity, focuses on alleviating immediate suffering while working towards practical and sustainable solutions for the homeless. Originating from a collective of Harrow churches, the charity now assists single and homeless individuals across the borough, regardless of their circumstances.

St. George’s Shopping Centre encourages donations of the following items:

  • Toiletries: Deodorant, hand sanitiser, toothbrushes, toothpaste, body wash, body creams, etc.
  • Feminine hygiene items
  • Clothing: Waterproof jackets, sturdy shoes, etc.
  • NEW Blankets
  • NEW Socks and underwear
  • Non-perishables: Beans, soup, pasta, rice, etc.

The Donation Station is located within St. George’s Shopping Centre, accepting donations during regular business hours from this month.

The Support Relationship Manager at Firm Foundation said, “Thank you to the St. George’s team and the community of Harrow for your kindness and generosity in helping in our quest to end Single Homelessness in Harrow. All donations contribute towards making someone’s day better; it’s amazing the difference a shower and a hot meal makes.”
