Update on manhunt for Kyle Clifford after Bushey triple murder

Hertfordshire Police have provided an update on the manhunt for Kyle Clifford.

The 26-year-old man has been on the run since around 7pm yesterday after three women were killed in Bushey.

Earlier today, the police stated that the murder suspect may be carrying a crossbow. Police operations have been taking place in Hertfordshire and North London this morning.

Chief Superintendent Jon Simpson is leading the news conference updated the public with the following –

  • Police believe the killing of the three women was a “targeted incident.”
  • The victims were aged 25, 28, and 61 and are believed to be related.
  • The “horrific incident” is thought to have involved a crossbow, but “other weapons may have been used.”
  • People have been urged not to approach Kyle Clifford and to call 999 if they see him.

The manhunt for Kyle Clifford involves armed police officers and specialist search teams “responding at pace,” Chief Supt Simpson says.

He reiterates that members of the public should not approach Clifford and should call 999 if they see him.

Speaking directly to the suspect, Chief Supt Simpson says: “Kyle, if you are seeing or hearing this, please make contact with the police.”

A major crime inquiry has been launched, and police are appealing to the public for any information related to the incident, he says.
