Harrow man sentenced for repeated breach of criminal behaviour order

A 45-year-old man, Majed Zaher Majed, has been sentenced to eight weeks in prison for repeatedly breaching a criminal behaviour order.

Majed, who has no fixed address, violated the order by entering St Anne’s Shopping Centre and surrounding roads in Harrow Town Centre multiple times last year, despite being prohibited from doing so.

The order was initially put in place by Willesden Magistrates Court in May 2022. Majed was found guilty of entering the prohibited area on several occasions: July 20, September 6, October 18 and 20, November 7, 8, and 28, and December 2, 2023.

The North West London Magistrates’ Court, where Majed was convicted on February 28, 2024, cited his history of offending and failure to comply with orders as reasons for the sentence. His guilty plea was taken into account during sentencing. In addition to the prison sentence, Majed was ordered to pay a surcharge of £154.

Majed’s sentence is set to run concurrently with his previous offences.
