Police officers from Wealdstone have arrested gang members after conducting operations to reduce violence and disrupt gang activity, according to a post by Harrow MPS on their social media channels.
The first operation, Op Nightingale, is a Home Office-supported operation targeting a reduction in violence by employing hotspot policing. The second, Op Kelf, is a Safer Neighbourhood Team-led operation to disrupt gang-related activity in Wealdstone.
During these operations, police apprehended individuals involved in violent disorder, one near Byron Park and another on the High Street.
The arrested individuals, known gang members with violent histories, were detained for offences related to violent disorder and possession of offensive weapons, police said.
