Just before Taylor Swift’s August concerts at Wembley Stadium, Wembley Park will host a free open-air concert featuring some of her most famous songs.
The event, “Taylor on Strings,” is scheduled for Tuesday, August 13, at 6:30 pm at The Sound Shell in Wembley Park’s Samovar Space. The City String Ensemble, a dynamic string quartet, will perform their innovative interpretations of over a dozen Taylor Swift hits.
The concert will include performances of popular songs such as “Love Story,” “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” and “Shake It Off.” Tickets are free but must be booked online in advance due to limited space.

“We are excited to bring our unique interpretations of Taylor Swift’s music to life at Wembley Park,” said Sophie Poteratchi, Founder and Violinist of City String Ensemble.
“This concert offers an opportunity for Swifties to experience Taylor’s music in a more intimate setting – with our signature style of bringing each song to life with string instruments.”
City String Ensemble, based in London and formed at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, is known for its innovative interpretations of contemporary and classical music.
The ensemble has released several recordings since 2020 and performs across various genres, including modern pop and anime soundtracks.
The Sound Shell stage, added to Olympic Way in 2022, has hosted a variety of performances, from Pride celebrations to gospel choirs.
Claudio Giambrone, Event Curator at Wembley Park, remarked, “The Sound Shell has provided a stunning venue for a wide range of incredible performances in recent years. We are delighted now to be presenting ‘Taylor on Strings’ from the outstanding City String Ensemble.
“It’s the perfect addition to the atmosphere of excitement that has blanketed Wembley Park as Taylor Swift prepares to return here for five further concerts this month.”

In celebration of Swift’s concerts, Wembley Park has introduced new cultural attractions, including the “Swiftie Steps” artwork by Frank Styles and the MurWalls X Humor mural.
There is also a free outdoor photo exhibition, “Taylor on Tour,” in Wembley Park’s Arena Square, featuring images from Swift’s Eras Tour.

Thirty tickets will be released at 10am each day leading up to the concert.
