A male suspect was caught and arrested in Harrow Town Centre following an incident involving the Met Police on 31st July.
According to a post on the Harrow MPS social channels, the suspect was initially detained under Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act by an officer.
During the arrest, the individual assaulted an officer, leading to his arrest. However, he subsequently fled the scene.
On 6th August, the same individual was spotted walking through Harrow Town Centre.
Unbeknownst to him, multiple police interceptor units had been deployed in the area to support an operation conducted by Greenhill Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT).
Despite attempts to evade capture, the suspect was quickly detained. He was arrested on charges of assaulting an emergency worker, theft of handcuffs, obstructing a constable in the execution of their duty, and evading lawful custody.
The suspect has been remanded in custody and is facing charges for all four offences. He is expected to appear in Crown Court soon.
