Officers from Kenton East and West visited Wealdstone as part of Operation Manfred, a focused initiative aimed at addressing anti-social behaviour, particularly in relation to drugs.
The visit to the rear of Costa Coffee was driven by numerous reports of drug dealing and cannabis use in the area.
During their presence, officers observed a male individual smoking cannabis, leading to his detention under Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act for a Stop and Search.
Upon search, the male was found with a cannabis joint, a grinder, and a substantial amount of cash. He was issued a Penalty Notice for Cannabis Possession and is scheduled to appear in court later.
In addition to the penalty notice, the individual received a Community Protection Warning from Wealdstone officers.
