Students up and down the country are receiving their GCSE results this week, marking a huge milestone in their academic journeys.
At Claremont High School in Kenton, this year’s results continue to reflect the school’s strong tradition of good marks, with an impressive 696 grades at 7 to 9.
Headteacher Ms. Hyde-Boughey expressed her pride in the students’ achievements, stating, “These are a terrific set of results. They are testimony to the hard work, dedication and perseverance of the students and their teachers.”
Among the standout performers was 16-year-old Ahaan Saraf, who achieved an outstanding nine grade 9s. Reflecting on his success, Ahaan said, “I always aimed high, but I never realised my aspirations would come to fruition. It was a rollercoaster and my grades are a credit to my parents, friends and teachers.”
Dulanya Amadoru, also 16, earned eight grade 9s and two grade 8s. “I feel utterly shocked,” she admitted upon seeing her results. “I am so proud that all the hard work paid off. I could not be happier!”
Another high achiever, Asher Siddiqui, 16, secured eight grade 9s. “I can’t believe it,” he said. “I had to check the results twice! I am so happy and grateful to all my teachers for the extra support they gave.”
Kruti Shah, also 16, echoed these sentiments after receiving eight grade 9s. She recalled the revision process as “very stressful” but shared her relief and joy, saying she’s “very happy” now.
Ms. Hyde-Boughey, along with other members of staff, were on hand at the school to personally congratulate the students. “I am delighted for all our students and the school is incredibly proud of them,” she said.
