A large police presence was spotted in Harrow Town Centre yesterday afternoon following reports of a street fight involving a group of women.
The incident took place around 6pm near Katie’s Statue, drawing a crowd of onlookers.
A spokesperson for Met Police said, “On Sunday afternoon, officers on patrol came across a group of females physically fighting on Station Road in Harrow. Whilst attempting to separate the parties a large crowd began to gather, and additional units were dispatched to the location to assist. A female was arrested at the scene on suspicion of affray.
“However, Officers later established that the altercation was as a result of an adult family member trying to return a younger family member back to a care home in Hertfordshire, from where she had been reported missing a week earlier. As a result of this the female was de-arrested. There were no injuries suffered by any of the parties involved.”
