Nearly 100 Harrow residents attended the ‘Cuppa with a Copper’ event at St Peter’s Church in West Harrow this week. The event, held in partnership with Café Conversation, offered residents the opportunity to engage with local police officers, ask questions, and receive support on a range of issues.
During the event, officers helped residents with topics such as Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG), crime prevention, and provided guidance on how to sign up for the OWL (Online Watch Link) platform. Attendees were also directed to resources on the Met Police website for further advice.

Residents were asked about how safe they feel in their community and what could be done to improve their confidence in local policing. Police officers also explained the different ways to report crimes, including when to use 999, 101, or online reporting tools.
The event was open to all Harrow residents and aimed to provide easy access to police support and advice. Working with community partners, the initiative offered a space for residents to discuss their concerns and receive tailored responses from local officers.
Upcoming ‘Cuppa with a Copper’ events will be held at the same venue on the following dates:
- Tuesday 8th October 2024
- Tuesday 12th November 2024
- Tuesday 3rd December 2024
