A large police presence was reported yesterday afternoon around 2pm at the rear entrance of Harrow and Wealdstone Station.
Officers were seen on Sandridge Close, just outside the station’s car park.
Witnesses at the scene reported at least two police vans and three police cars.
One person said, “I’ve just seen at least two police vans screaming down Marlborough Hill near the station no idea what’s happened but they look like they were heading towards the train station.”
A spokesperson for Met Police told Harrow Online, “Police were called at 13:23hrs on Tuesday, 10 September to reports of a man being threatened with a firearm at Churchill Place, Harrow.
“Due to the nature of the report, a number of police units attended. At the scene there was no trace of the victim or suspect.
“A man was stopped and searched by officers nearby but was not arrested.
“The call is believed to have been a hoax.”
