Harrow Leisure Centre has announced via its social media channels that their swimming pool will reopen soon following essential repair works.
The pools and sauna were initially closed on Thursday, March 21, after an inspection raised concerns about the ceiling above the swimming pool, despite most of the leisure centre being in good condition.
As a result, Harrow Council and Everyone Active jointly decided to close the pools and sauna for safety reasons.
Now, after the works have been successfully completed, public swimming will resume on 16th September, and swimming lessons will follow on 23rd September.
In the social media post, the Centre stated, “Whether you’re looking to relax by the water, swim some lengths, or enjoy a family day out, we can’t wait to welcome you all back.”
Harrow Leisure Centre also announced that their app is now live, allowing people to book sessions for public swimming and Aqua Aerobics ahead of the reopening.
