Two Harrow residents have been shortlisted for the prestigious 22nd Asian Achievers Awards, which will take place on 20th September 2024 at the Hilton Park Lane, London.
The event, which celebrates South Asian excellence across the UK, is a major recognition of the contributions made by the South Asian community in various fields.
Sachinkumar Gupta, founder of The Property Hub in Harrow, has been nominated for Entrepreneur of the Year. Gupta’s work in the property sector has gained significant recognition, marking him as the first nominee from Harrow in this category.
Ariana Abawe, a former Harrow’s Heroes award winner and known as “Ariana The Journalist,” has been nominated for Arts & Culture. Abawe’s contributions to the media and cultural landscape have earned her a spot among some of the most talented individuals in the UK.
The awards, supported by media partners Lyca Radio, Asian Voice, and Gujarat Samachar, highlight the achievements of South Asians in fields such as politics, business, arts, and civil society.
Speaking about this year’s event, Pratik Dattani, Managing Director of EPG, said, “The Asian Achievers Awards aim to celebrate Asian excellence across the UK. We have been impressed by the breadth and calibre of nominations from across the country that came in this year, which show quite how extensive our positive contribution is across all aspects of British life.”
The shortlist includes a variety of high-profile names such as singer Abi Sampa, Leicester City footballer Hamza Choudhury, and Managing Director of Apollo Tyres, Neeraj Kanwar. Selected from over 500 nominations, the candidates reflect the diversity and talent of the South Asian community in the UK.
The winners will be revealed during the ceremony on Friday, 20th September.
