Davy House Car Park, located on Lyon Road in Harrow Town Centre, will no longer be managed by Harrow Council, following the termination of the lease by the landlord.
As a result, the council’s one-hour free parking offer will no longer be available at this location. Parking permits issued for Davy House Car Park will remain valid at Greenhill Way Car Park.
The council stopped managing Davy House from 6pm on Friday, 20 September, at which point they also ceased taking payments for parking at the site.
The London Borough of Harrow had been in discussions with the landlord about extending their tenure. However, on Friday, 13 September, the landlord informed the council that the tenancy had been terminated with immediate effect.
A new company will take over management of the privately owned car park, and the council will no longer have any jurisdiction over it.

Cllr David Ashton, Cabinet Member for Finance and Highways, commented: “Due to circumstances outside our control, the council will no longer manage Davy House Car Park on Lyon Road. This is not what we wanted and we apologise for any inconvenience to shoppers, residents, workers or businesses who may be impacted by this change.
“The council’s offer of one-hour free parking, while no longer available at Davy House, will continue to be available to all who live, work or visit the borough in our on-street parking bays and in council-owned car parks.”
For those with parking permits for Davy House, they can be used at Greenhill Way Car Park until the permit expires.
