Visitors to Wembley Park will have a unique opportunity to engage with artists, makers, and designers on Saturday, 5th October 2024.
From 11am to 6pm, Second Floor Studios & Arts will open its purpose-built studios to the public.
The Open Studios event allows guests to meet local creatives, discuss their work, and purchase items directly with no commission on sales. Visitors can buy or commission bespoke artworks, clothing, or participate in workshops. These hour-long workshops will include fluid life drawing, tote bag screen printing, animal portraits, and clay pinch pots.
There will also be sessions on collage and zine-making, as well as mark-making for imaginative drawing. Workshops can be booked in advance via the website.

Entry to the event is free and you can book workshops online now. The studios, located in the heart of Wembley Park, are just 15 minutes drive from Harrow.
Artists will showcase a variety of work, including painting, drawing, fashion, sculpture, and ceramics. Notable participants include artist Karen David, fashion designer Badra Cherfi, photographer Amanda Rose, painter Liesa Bacchus, ceramic artist Rula Sayegh, and fine artist Laxmi Hussain.
Many artists have strong connections to Wembley Park’s cultural offerings, including the free public Art Trail featuring both permanent and temporary installations. Laxmi Hussain’s work was part of the ‘Figures of Change’ exhibition in 2022, highlighting the diversity of women in the area.
Claudio Giambrone, Head of Cultural Programming, Wembley Park said, “Wembley Park is steadily becoming a vibrant hub for culture and creativity, and we are privileged to be offering such talented artists a space to create. Many have worked with us to enrich the neighbourhood, with their artworks showcased along the Wembley Park Art Trail.
“This event provides visitors with a rare opportunity to engage with the artists’ creative processes and, perhaps, discover a new skill through their free art workshops,”

Currently, Wembley Park hosts 26 studios, and an additional 30 will open near White Horse Square in Spring 2025, accommodating over 80 artists. This initiative is part of a partnership between Wembley Park and Second Floor Studios & Arts.
“High-quality, affordable, long-term studio space is crucial to the continuing evolution and success of London’s creative ecosystem. We are pleased to provide this opportunity for the public to discover the myriad ways in which studio spaces are used, to see how the studios contribute to the community of Wembley Park – and to be inspired by the diverse work of artists, designers and makers in the local area,” stated Nichole Herbert Wood, CEO of Second Floor Studios & Arts.
