Harrow residents reported a large police presence on Fairholme Road, with at least seven police vehicles at the scene on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Metropolitan Police, officers were called to Lidl in St Ann’s Shopping Centre at 1:13 pm following reports of a man becoming aggressive towards a security guard and refusing to leave the store.
A Met Police spokesperson said, “At 1.13pm on Tuesday 24th September police were called to ‘Lidl’ in St Ann’s Shopping Centre in Harrow, following reports of an aggressive male who had become aggressive towards security guard and was refusing to leave the store. The male eventually left the venue prior to police arrival.
“However as officers were taking details of the incident from staff at the location, the same male was seen to walk past the store. When officers attempted to speak to him he made off, but was detained in Fairholme Road after a short foot chase.
“The male was returned to Lidl by officers where he was issued with a banning order.”
