A person has tragically died after being struck by a train near Bushey station this afternoon.
At least six fire engines were seen outside the station, and a nearby road, Little Oxhey Lane, which runs through South Oxhey and over the train tracks, has been cordoned off by police.

A spokesperson for British Transport Police said in a statement, “Officers were called to a report of a casualty on the tracks just after 12.30pm today (26 September) near Bushey Railway Station.
“Officers and paramedics attended and sadly a person was pronounced dead. The incident is not thought to be suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
