Harrow Council is seeking feedback from local residents on the proposed regeneration of Poets Corner, a major project that could bring around 1,100 new homes to the borough. The development is planned for the site of the former Harrow Civic Centre on Station Road.
The council, in partnership with developer Wates, aims to submit a planning application by late 2024. Before that, a community consultation is being held to gather input from residents, which could influence the final plans.
The proposals include the creation of new green spaces, play areas, and a community square.
Residents can share their views either in person at a series of local events or online through the Poets Corner consultation website. In-person events will be held at various locations throughout October, and there is an online option available until 12 November.
While the project promises new homes and public spaces, residents are encouraged to voice both positive and negative opinions, as feedback will help shape the final submission.
