Hollywood actors Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga were recently seen in Cassiobury Park, Watford, sparking speculation among some residents online that they were filming the latest instalment of the popular horror franchise, The Conjuring.
A section of Cassiobury Park was transformed into a graveyard with set props, including gravestones, as part of the production.
According to reports, this film is expected to be the final chapter in The Conjuring series, with a release date scheduled for September 2025.
Watford Council posted about the event, saying: “Did you spot this filming in Cassiobury Park? It included Hollywood actors Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga, can you guess what the production is?” The council’s post hinted at the excitement surrounding the ongoing filming, while not explicitly confirming the film’s identity.
Filming for The Conjuring 4 officially began in London in September 2024, but the plot of the film remains unknown at this time.

Watford has recently hosted a number of major productions, and the Hertfordshire Film Office (HFO) aims to further establish the area as a popular filming location.
The council added, “Watford has hosted an array of major productions recently, and to support the town and county, Hertfordshire Film Office (HFO) has officially launched its website to act as a gateway for productions looking to film in the county and promote the value of the multi-billion sector to the rest of the UK.”
