Harrow Police revealed vid their socials that Wealdstone and Harrow Weald Safer Neighbourhood teams attended the Methodist Church on Locket Road, Wealdstone, for the monthly knife collection.
The event was led by the CEO of Word 4 Weapon, a charity dedicated to collecting and disposing of knives to reduce crime.
Word 4 Weapon has been running weapons surrender programs in the UK for 17 years, working closely with the Metropolitan Police and other forces. The charity aims to make communities safer by encouraging people to turn in their weapons.
An image shared by Harrow MPS on social media shows a large number of knives collected during the event.
