Melissa Restaurant, located at 5-6 Station Parade, Whitchurch Lane in Edgware, has reopened its doors following a major refurbishment, showcasing a fresh new look. The reopening event was attended by the Mayor of Harrow, Cllr Salim Chowdhury, as well as members of the Turkish media.
Melissa, which also has a sister branch on Station Road in Harrow Town Centre that opened in December 2022, has gained a loyal customer base for its high-quality Turkish cuisine. The restaurant was awarded ‘Best Turkish Restaurant in North and West London’ at the prestigious TURTA Awards last year.

Speaking to Harrow Online, owner Cetin Kaygusuz expressed his excitement about the refurbishment of the Edgware branch. “I’m very pleased because we have done nice decorating. It was basic before, and customers were coming because we have very nice food.
“Now, even people passing by are looking and taking photos. Some come inside—I believe we are going to get more clients for special occasions, birthdays, celebrations, you know. Because of the decor, people are very impressed.”

Cetin also spoke about the reopening event itself, which saw attendance from notable figures such as the Mayor of Harrow, Krupesh Hirani AM for Brent and Harrow, and representatives from the Turkish media, including TV channels and businessmen from Istanbul and across Turkey.
