Park High School in Stanmore has been officially recognised as a partner school with St. John’s College, Oxford, marking a significant achievement for the school and its students.
St. John’s College, Oxford, is one of the university’s oldest and most respected institutions, known for its strong academic tradition and commitment to nurturing talented students. Established in 1555, the college offers a wide range of disciplines and prides itself on creating an inclusive environment where students are encouraged to explore their intellectual potential.
St. John’s is particularly dedicated to outreach initiatives, such as the Inspire Programme, aimed at supporting and inspiring young people from diverse backgrounds to achieve their academic goals and consider opportunities at leading universities like Oxford.

The partnership was formed through the Inspire Programme. The Year 10 Inspire learners at Park High have been at the centre of this milestone, showing dedication and a drive for excellence.
The Inspire lessons have given students opportunities to explore various topics, from the nature of belief and videogame coding to creating technical drawings of buildings. A key moment was a trip to the Science Museum, which included a Q&A session with a museum employee.
Colette O’Dwyer, Headteacher, said: “Our school community is very proud of the fantastic work that our Year 10 Inspire learners have completed over the past academic year. We look forward to even greater academic successes and more awards in the future.
“A huge congratulations to our students and heartfelt thanks to their parents for their unwavering support in this fantastic endeavour.”
