Harrow is in for a stormy evening. The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for thunderstorms across our area, which is expected to last until just before midnight.
While some places might escape the worst of it, there’s a fair chance we’ll be seeing heavy rain, lightning, and possibly even some hail.
For those planning to head out, be prepared for some disruption. Roads could get pretty tricky with spray and standing water, making driving conditions less than ideal.
Expect longer journey times if you’re travelling by car or bus, and train services might face some delays too.
There’s also a risk of minor flooding in a few places, which could affect homes and businesses. If you’re in a flood-prone area, it’s worth keeping an eye on your property and taking any necessary precautions.
In addition, there could be some short-term interruptions to power and other essential services, so it might be wise to have some essentials ready just in case.
