Locket Road is currently closed at the junction with the High Street due to ongoing Openreach works that began around 9am this morning.
The closure has affected bus route 186, which is being diverted toward Northwick Park.
Traffic in the area is experiencing increased congestion as drivers navigate alternative routes to Belmont.
The works are scheduled to be completed by Friday, October 11.
